After a devastating break-in, the young people that Govan Youth Information Project work with held a bag packing event with the help of Sainsburys in Braehead to raise funds to help out. Young people were keen to help GYIP a project that has been heavily involved in the lives of both young and old in the Govan area. A group of young people decided to raise funds for the clubs they attend, with around twenty six people both parents and children attending. A grand total of £1295 was raised of which £125 was donated to Sainsburys' charities of choice. This, on top of a successful and busy Summer Holiday Programme, with over 280 young people registered, has bought a smile back to GYIP and the people of Govan.
