The lady sitting by the pram in the bottom right of the picture is Mary Clark (nee Fernie), born 1905 in KP. In spite of her scowl in this photo, Mary was great fun, very talented and kind. Her father died in 1915 in WWI and she started work aged 13 to help her mother support their large family. Married in 1927, Mary raised a family of 8. She died in 1999 in Drumoyne.
